The Damsquare with the Royal Palace, is considered the heart of the city. At and around the Damsquare you will find the shoppingcentres "Bijenkorf", "Magna Plaza" and "Kalvertower". Just behind the hotel you will find the famous old quarter called 'Jordaan'. Today you will find a lot of small reastaurants, bars and smaller boutiques in this area.

Public transport
Westermarkt tram stop is only a hundred yards away. On and close to Dam Square you will find the Bijenkorf department store, the Magna Plaza shopping mall and the Kalvertoren, the new multi-level shopping mall with restaurants, bars and views over the historic city centre.
You can reach us from Schiphol Airport by taxi, single journey approx. Euro 30
Parking
On the canal: the hotel sells day one-day parking cards for Euro 25,20 or 3-day cards for Euro 75,60 - in the (multi-storey) car parks, price approx. Euro 25 per 24 hours.
By train
To Central Station, then trams 13 or 17 to the Westermarkt tram stop, or by taxi from Central Station, price approx. Euro 5,=.. Watch out for pickpockets in the tram!
By car
Follow the Amsterdam ring road to exit S 105. Follow the signs for "Centrum". This takes you automatically to the Rozengracht (take care: this is also a tram route at the moment).
Follow the Rozengracht to the Westerkerk Church and turn left onto the Keizersgracht immediately after the church. The hotel is in the second block on the left side and is easily recognised by its green awnings.
