Aalborg Hotel is a typical family owned hotel with 36 rooms situated right opposite the beautiful Sarphatipark and near the centre of Amsterdam and the RAI Congress Center. The hotel was founded in 1952 and completely renovated in 2001.
The hotel has 36 rooms: 7 single rooms, 15 double rooms with one bed, 14 twin, triple and quadruple rooms with three beds or two beds and a sofa bed. All rooms have bath or shower, toilet, desk, cable TV (25 programs), radio, wake up service and direct dial phone with data port.
Hotel Aalborg has only a breakfast restaurant. Within 250 meters of the hotel you will find all kinds of restaurants ( Dutch, French, Italian, Chinese, Thai, Spanish, Indonesian, etc.).
The reception is open day and night. Coffee, tea, beer, softdrinks, snacks, postcards, stamps and sigarettes can be bought 24 hours a day.
The main musea and the Concert Hall are at walking distance or are reachable by tram in a few minutes (stop at 50 meters from the hotel). The Famous Albert Cuyp market is at 3 minutes by foot from the hotel. The Heineken Experience and the Canal Boates at 5 min. The City Center (Dam Square) and the RAI Congress Center can be reached by tram in about 8 minutes.
Location and Route Description
From direction Amersfoort follow ring Zuid, exit S110 and from direction Utrecht (A2) follow route S110: on the bridge over the river Amstel take the right lane and direct after this bridge turn right (President Kennedylaan), continue this road straight along the river Amstel on your right hand side, at the 3rd traffic lights turn left (Ceintuurbaan, further on called Sarphatipark). You will find the Hotel after 800 meters on the left side.
From de direction Schiphol Airport/Den Haag/Rotterdam: follow ring Zuid, take exit S109, at the end of this exit turn right, at the roundabout turn right (President Kennedylaan), this road straight on, continue along the river Amstel on your right hand side, at the 6th traffic lights turn left (Ceintuurbaan, further on called Sarphatipark), You will find the Hotel after 800 meters on the left side.
Travel from the Airport Train to Central Station, than take tram 25 straight to the Sarphatipark, stop 2de van de Helsstraat. You cross the road and find the hotel in front of the park on nr. 106
