You are also in the vicinity of the most popular entertainment and nightlife centre of Amsterdam, the Leidseplein. Close by you will find the three most important museums: the National Museum (Rembrandt), the Van Gogh Museum and the Municipal Museum (modern art).

The Toro Hotel Amsterdam- A Hampshire Classic Hotel has 22 rooms. There are singles, doubles and triples with, in addition, superior rooms and de luxe rooms. The superior rooms and de luxe rooms have a great view on the pond and the Vondel-park.

Looking over the pond and the beautiful park, you can enjoy a delicious breakfast in peace and quiet. Besides a cold buffet, they serve a number of plates completely to your own taste. They serve your breakfast preferably between 07.00 hrs and 10.30 hrs.

After a hard day's work or a tiring journey, relax and enjoy a delicious drink. This is possible in "a cosy living room" with a fire place and plenty of atmosphere; the honesty bar is completely at your disposal.

You are also in the vicinity of the most popular entertain-ment and nightlife centre of Amsterdam, the Leidseplein. You can reach the Leidseplein by a short walk through the Vondelpark.

And, also in walking distance, in close proximity of the three most important museums: the National Museum (Rembrandt), the Van Gogh Museum and the Municipal Museum (modern art).

Also a stone's throw away are charming cafés such as Luxembroug and De Joffers (in the trendy Cornelis Schuijtstraat), the Film Museum and the chic P.C. Hooft-straat, where all the well-known designers are represented.

When you like shopping: the main shopping streets of Amsterdam are also close by.

From Central Station
20 minutes tram ride and a one minute walk to hotel. Tram (Public Transport):
nr. 2, stop "Valeriusplein". Five minutes on foot following the Emmalaan to the Koningslaan 64.

By TAXI from Centraal Station (ongeveer Euro 16,=).

From Schiphol Airport
By car:
At approximately 15 km or 8 miles.

From Utrecht : You are driving on the A2 (Utrecht - Amsterdam). From Schiphol/Den Haag (The Hague) : You are driving on the A4 (passing the Airport; direction Amsterdam).

From both directions (A2 or A4) you choose the A10: The Amsterdam-ring road.
Subsequently you take the exit South (Zuid) (quarter S108). At the traffic lights you turn right into the Amstelveense-weg.
You drive straight-ahead and on your left-side you will pass the Olympic stadium. After the stadium you turn right.
At the traffic lights you turn left (you are still driving on the Amstelveenseweg).
Subsequently, at the roundabout you go straight-ahead (˝ way round).
At the traffic lights you turn right. (Now you are on the Koninginneweg).
At the second street to the left (Emmalaan). Drive till the very end and then turn left This is the Koningslaan. You will find the hotel at number 64.

KLM Shuttlebus, Available (frequency twice per hour). Stops around the corner, at the Museum Square on the Lairessestreet.
Upon arrival at Schiphol please ask the KLM-staff to direct you to the shuttle bus.
Fare: one way is Euro 10,50 / Euro 19,= return ticket. Tickets can be bought on the bus which leaves in front of the arrival hal.

By taxi
from Schiphol Airport (approx. Euro 30,= ).

Parking
Cars can be parked on the streets. Parking in the street is Euro 2,80 per hour (09:00h- 00.00h). Day ticket is Euro 28,80 (available at the Hotel reception and Parkeerbeheer). Mentioned rates are subject to change.
