The building of the Best Western Museum hotel was built in 1888. In 1996 the hotel has been renovated. This three stars hotel can arrange excursions for you, just ask the staff of the reception, and they will be very happy to be of assistance. For those who stay for a long period, there is a laundry service as well. The hotel is ideally located for guests who like museums, bars and shopping.
Location
is a famous landmark on the corner of Stadhouderskade and the well known P.C. Hooftstraat (fashion), next to the Rijksmuseum (Rembrandt). The Leidseplein (Casino and theatres), the Van Gogh Museum, the Municipal Museum (modern art), the historical city centre with the famous canals are all in a few minutes walking distance. Boatrides, the Museumboat, the watertaxi and the Canalbikes leave nearly in front of the hotel. The Museum hotel is easy to find and easy to reach with your own car or public transport. From Central Station it is approximately 10 minutes by tram or by taxi. There is a ample car parking(charged parking space), even for coaches in the underground garage at Museumplein. The KLM airport-schuttle stops only 25 meters from the hotel.
Facilities
All 110 rooms have bath or shower, wc, radio, color-TV (cable and Pay-TV), telephone and hairdryer. The inviting restaurant "The Gallary" which seats 150 persons (groups are welcome) is well respected throughout the city. There is also a friendly lounge and a cosy bar.
Location and Route Description
From the Central Station you can take tram number: 2 or 5. These trams will bring you directly to the Hotel. Get off at the stop called: Rijksmuseum/Hobbemastraat. Walk back into the direction where the tram came from. Turn right at the second street: the P.C. Hooftstraat. You will find the Hotel after 100 meters at your left hand's side on the corner.
