The Rho hotel is located in a good central position. It is quietly situated in a small street, just a few steps away from the famous Damsquare, in the very centre of Amsterdam.
This 3 star plus hotel opened it's doors in April 1989. It is located in a good central position. It is quietly situated in a small street, just a few steps away from the famous Damsquare, in the very centre of Amsterdam. Shopping area, musea and all other places of interest, you will find just around the corner. The building was once used by a famous Dutch goldcompany. The beautiful hall, in Art Deco-style, was originally built as a theatre in 1908 and is now the lounge and reception area. The breakfastroom is next to the lounge and is modern, bright and light, and a non-smoking area.
The intimate small hotelbar is on the other side of the lounge. The hotel has 160 rooms, 4 floors and 3 lifts. The rooms are modern and comfortable. All rooms have private facilities, like bath or/and shower, toilet, hairdryer,television, telephone, minibar, safe(foc) and fan. The rooms are furnished in a restfull style, with grey fitted carpet, bordeauxred bedspreeds and lampshades, and modern paintings on the walls.There are a few non-smoking rooms. We do not have rooms with connecting doors.
Childpolicy: A child from 0-2 years stays for free (when sharing a room with adults). f.o.c. You can rent a cot at Euro 8,- per night. No pets allowed. We do not have rooms adapted to wheelchairguests, but a few rooms are accesable by wheelchair. All public areas are accesable by wheelchair. No connecting rooms. No Pay t.v. Satelite television with 15 channels a.o.: NBC, CNN, EURO-SPORT, CARTOON, BBC prime and BBC world, depending on the satelite provider. Business facilities: no facilities. You can send and receive faxes through the frontdesk.
Hotel Information
The breakfast is included. It is an extended buffet, with a.o scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, bread, cerials, fruits, yoghurt, cheese, ham and spicy rice! It is served in the breakfastroom on the groundfloor from 07:00 till 10:30. The check-in time is 14.00h. Should you arrive earlier, you could always leave your luggage at the reception for the whole day. The check-out time is 11:00, but you can store your luggage at the reception for the whole day. The hotelbar is open from 16.00 till 23.30h. The hotel has a private parking garage. The price is Euro 25,- per day and you should leave your carkeys at the frontdesk, and park your car at your own risk. The hotel is open 24 hours per day, and the friendly staff is always at your service We accept creditcards as Visa, American Express and Eurocard. You can also pay with traveller Cheques, but we do not change foreign currency's. We also rent bicycles.

Location and Route Description
How to reach the Rho hotel
From th airport: - You can take a taxi at ~ Euro 30,- one way, it will take you about 30 minutes . - You can take the KLM-shuttle bus to the Damsquere. It takes you about 60 minutes to get here.You can take the train to Amsterdam-central Station. Trains run every 20 minutes from 06.00 till 24.00. It takes 15 minutes.
From Amsterdam Central Station: You can walk along the Damrak to the Damsquare. This will take you 5 minutes. You can take a tram for only 1 stop. You can take number 4,9,16,24 or 25 and get off at Damsquare. The tram runs from 07.00 till 24.00 and it will take you 1 minute to get here.
By car: You have to follow the signs AMSTERDAM CENTRUM, and enter the city till you arrive on the Damsquare. On the square you have to take the first small street (Nes) to the right. You will find us, on your lefthandside after 15 metres
